Why does the body need coenzyme Q10?

Coenzyme Q10, also known as Q-10, Ubiquinones-10 or UQ, is a fat-soluble molecule similar in structure to vitamins K and E. Q10 is not essential for healthy people, but it plays an important role in the energy production of the body's cells. Therefore, it is found mainly in the lungs, liver and heart, organs that consume a lot of energy.
